Jim Donelon

  • Next, I would like to introduce Jim Donelon.
    • Jim was sworn in as Louisiana Insurance Commissioner Feb. 16, 2006 following the retirement of Robert Wooley.
  • Jim previously served as the Executive Counsel and Chief Deputy of the Louisiana Insurance Department.
  • He is a native of New Orleans and is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and Loyola School of Law.
  • He retired as a State judge Advocate of the Louisiana National Guard with the rank of Colonel, following 33 years of military service.
  • Jim is also former chairman of the Jefferson Parish Council and served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 1982 until 2001, when he became Chief Deputy Insurance Commissioner. Jim, please stand and be recognized.  (p1)
